Classroom Ports
Current Situation
At this moment i think there are 3 sets of 4 ports in each classroom in the school. Physical ports are used to connect computers together to form a network where you can share services like printing, file sharing and of course the internet.
Why are there 3 sets of 4 ports?
I don't know the exact answer because i wasn't there when it was being planned BUT common sense says that if you put in 12 (total) ports then you are expecting to install or have 12 computers in each classroom.
WOW! that's alot of computers for one classroom!
Another reason for having that many ports in one classroom might be for flexibility in where you can put your computer.
If thats true, then why is it that only one port is enabled?
And even if that was true, you still have 11 other permanently wired ports sitting there not being used.
